Lady Pythons are in their first year of existence and it is shaping up to be a great ones. The Lady Pythons will compete on both the recreation and AAU level. Our First Grade team, Class of 2028, will set the standard as we look to grow our program regionally and nationally.
LADY PYTHONS GIRLS BASKETBALL EXPECTATIONS
The Lady Pythons Girls Basketball program is composed of three key components: players, coaches, and parents. It is the responsibility of these three groups to represent the Piedmont Pythons in a positive manner. We must work together as one to maintain pride in the program and to provide a lifetime education for the players. We also must support one another.
EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS
- Positively support your daughter in her academic and athletic endeavors.
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times
- Help your daughter win with class and lose with dignity
- Model responsibility, integrity, and accountability
- Maintain realistic expectations for your daughter
- If you have an issue with a coach, your daughter must notify the coach and speak with the coach before the coach will talk to a parent about an issue. This is only fair to you daughter in teaching them how to communicate when adversity may hit.
EXPECTATIONS OF PLAYERS
- Represent our program with class and sportsmanship
- Be responsible for yourself and your teammates on and off the court
- Win with class and lose with dignity
- Be willing to accept instruction to better yourself on and off the court
- Practice a strong work ethic and make a full commitment to the team
- Adhere to the program rules
- Learn the offensive and defensive plays not only for your position but also every position on the team
- Be a good teammate and have respect for everyone on the team and in the program
EXPECTATIONS OF COACHES
- Represent the program with class, professionalism and sportsmanship
- Positively promote the program to the parents, opposing coaches, players, and community with every opportunity
- Be early for everything
- Help the players be successful on and off the court
- Be mindful of all rules and curfews for the players
- Be attentive to the players at practice, tournaments, in traveling, and at hotels
- Win with class and lose with dignity
